In light of events in this chapter (no spoilers), there is a certain darkness and drama in the music choices. Dream Into Dust's "No World Outside" is an almost perfect theme that works on multiple levels. To go alongside this is a number of tracks from the soundtrack for the videogame NieR. Anyone who's played the game can tell you how amazing that soundtrack is. The inclusion of Fear Factory's "Pisschrist" may strike the listener as strange, but there's a mechanical nature to the song's aggression that oddly fits.

This is a chapter in transition. Characters are moving across a more-rural region. As such, I went with more laid-back pieces that I felt framed the mental scenery. All India Radio brings to mind scenes in movies where people are driving cross-country. When it came to introducing Evans, nothing felt more perfect than P.J. Harvey. The inclusion of Kittie's "Spit" is a strange addition as it's totally unlike their entire body of work.

Kyote and Issuhn on Tir: two distinct moods that needed to be set. On one hand we have the sludge of super-group Down (formed from New Orleans-based musicians from Pantera, Eyehategod, Corrosion of Conformity and Crowbar) and the Melvins. Both deliver the dark haziness that I felt hovered over the character. On the other? Moody techno, including the likes of Massive Attack and remixes of a few Lamb songs from their first album.
